Official time limits extended until further notice

Due to the outbreak of the coronavirus disease #COVID-19, some official IP offices announced that all time limits in pending procedures are extended. Please find more detailed information below:

After the end of the imposed public restrictions in all the BeNeLux countries, BOIP(Benelux office for intellectual property) will grant an additional month for each time limit that has expired or which are less than one month at that time. The exact deadlines will therefore only be available when normal life has resumed.

EUIPO (the European Union Intellectual Property Office) extends all time limits for EU trademarks and design matters as from now until May 1, 2020.

The European Patent Office (EPO) has announced that all deadlines will receive an extension until April 17. The deadline could be extended further if “the dislocation extends beyond” April 17, the office said.
