In this way, we are informed in due time, which allows us to oppose a filing by a competitor that is too close to yours. Through an opposition you can prevent the trademark from being registered. Depending on the country concerned, the opposition deadlines are limited to 2 to 3 months, which means it is important to be timely informed of infringing filings.
