Patent Paralegal

To support our continued growth, we are looking for a motivated PATENT PARALEGAL.

In this challenging and varied role, you will be the first point of contact for your client portfolio (from multinationals to start-ups). You will be responsible for the administrative and legal support of patent procedures, both in Belgium and abroad. You will, of course, work closely with our attorneys and advisors.

Your main tasks include:

• Filing patent applications and making sure all formalities are met throughout the grant procedure
• Entering and monitoring terms and deadlines, and ensuring data is correctly processed in our automated system
• Handling correspondence (email, post, etc.) for your ongoing files
• Maintaining (international) contact with clients, foreign agents and patent offices
• Where needed, proofreading applications drafted by our attorneys and forwarding them to the client for review, or to the official authorities

You will work from our office in Ghent.
