Patent Advisor or (partially qualified) Attorney in Life Sciences

To support our further growth ambitions, we are looking for a Patent Advisor or a (partially qualified) European Patent Attorney in Life Sciences.

In this varied and challenging role, you will analyse our clients’ R&D activities and innovations. On that basis, you will develop a well-considered and pragmatic IP strategy. You will actively think along with their technological developments and guide them from A to Z in protecting their inventions. To do so, you will work closely with our other patent engineers, patent attorneys and paralegals within the patent department.

You will be responsible for, among other things:

  • Mapping (technical) inventions and innovations
  • Drafting patent applications and following up the entire application procedure before Belgian, European and international authorities
  • Managing and advising on clients’ patent strategies and portfolios
  • Monitoring competing innovations and advising on possible infringements or conflicts
  • Representing clients before the Belgian Intellectual Property Office and the European Patent Office

What’s in it for you? A competitive salary with extra-legal benefits (meal vouchers, hospitalisation and group insurance, ADV days, cafeteria plan, etc.), and respect for a healthy work-life balance (flexible hours and working from home). You will have the chance to grow and develop yourself further.
