Kristof Vande Ginste is a European Patent Attorney. He obtained a Master in Bio Engineering Sciences with a specialisation in chemistry and bioprocess technology. In his Master’s thesis he studied the influence of glycosylation reactions on the stability of enzymes. He then launched a TETRA innovation project in collaboration with various SMEs in the food sector, focusing on food safety and quality. In further work experience as a hydro-nautical engineer, Kristof also addressed the ecological aspect of his training.
Kristof’s activities at brantsandpatents include drafting patent applications and handling grant procedures, as well as advising clients on patentability, freedom to operate, infringement and invalidity proceedings. He also has extensive experience in European and global (PCT) patent proceedings.
His field of work is in chemistry (including physical chemistry, polymer chemistry and food chemistry), molecular biology and pharmacy.
Kristof is fluent in Dutch and English, has a good command of French and a basic knowledge of German and Spanish.
