Hanne Criel
Hanne Criel is a Patent Advisor. She obtained a Master’s degree in Bioscience Engineering at Ghent University, specialising in Food Technology and Nutrition. During her PhD research, carried out in collaboration with an industrial partner, she focused on the development of new biomaterials for regenerative medicine. In addition to her background in food science, she thereby developed further expertise in the biomedical and pharmaceutical sectors.
Within Brantsandpatents, Hanne’s activities include drafting patent applications and managing prosecution procedures. She also advises clients on patentability, freedom to operate, and infringement matters.
Her field of expertise covers the biomedical and pharmaceutical sectors, chemistry, and food technology.
Hanne is fluent in Dutch and English and has a working knowledge of French.
