Frederik Titeca is Patent Adviser. He obtained a Master in Bio Engineering Sciences at the University of Ghent with a specialisation in Chemistry and Bioprocess Technology. During his thesis research, Frederik also gained experience at the Centre for Microbial Ecology and Technology (CMET), where he researched chronic rhinosinusitis and in vitro upper respiratory tract models. The emphasis here was always on the immunological interactions between a host and their nasal microbiome.
Frederik’s activities at brantsandpatents include drafting patent applications and handling grant procedures, as well as advising clients on patentability, freedom to operate and infringement. He also has extensive experience in European and global (PCT) patent proceedings.
His field of work is mainly in chemistry, bioprocess technology and red biotechnology.
Frederik is fluent in Dutch and English and has a basic knowledge of French and German.
