Eylem Aydogdu Lohaus

Patent Adviser

Eylem Aydogdu Lohaus is Patent Adviser. She obtained her PhD in Biochemistry at the University of Houston. Her dissertation research focused on the regulatory pathways shared between cancer stem cells. She has several years of experience both in industry and academic settings. As a postdoctoral researcher at VIB, she focused on the consequences of genome duplication and its link with plant evolution.

Eylem’s activities at brantsandpatents include drafting patent applications and handling grant procedures as well as advising clients on patentability, freedom to operate, and infringement.

Her field of interest is biology, pharmaceutical and plant sciences, and biotechnology. Eylem also has a good understanding of bioinformatics.

Eylem is fluent in English and Turkish and has notions of Dutch.
